Be the Change’s second virtual job fair kicked off on April 22 with a roundtable discussion on the topic of “Executive DE&I Insights and Actions.” Moderated by Be the Change’s Co-Founder Philana Bouvier, changemakers included Robert Hanson, EVP & President, Wine & Spirits Division at Constellation Brands; Dr. Atira Charles, Head of Inclusion, Diversity, and Equity at Moët Hennessy, North America; and James Harris, Director Diversity & Inclusion and Supplier Diversity at HEB.
The one-hour discussion explored best practices and actions necessary in advancing our industry. Along with recognizing existing gaps, they addressed key takeaways on how to improve the path moving forward. The thought leaders highlighted programs supported internally and externally to inspire positive change within the communities they serve as well as across the wine, beer, and spirits industries.
“Be the Change is a powerful initiative that is founded on the philosophy that the alcohol beverage industry must come together to empower, advocate, and drive positive change inside and outside our communities. It is a necessity that diversity is embraced across every level,” Bouvier said before introducing the panelists.
